VCR & VHS Tapes to DVD
There is no better time to transfer your VCR & VHS tapes to DVD. The last major Hollywood release on VHS was in 2006, and even the players have been noticeably absent from stores shelves recently.
Many people have had their home movies transfered from 8mm and Super8 film a few years ago, and are now stuck with a box of tapes which themselves are out of date. Unfortunately, these tapes can also deteriorate over time, and not just from wear and tear through heavy use.
We can also handle VHS-C format, which is a slightly more compact version of the tape requiring a special tape adapter.

These cameras were quite popular in the 90's due to their relatively small size. The tapes will actually say 'Video8' or 'Hi8' or simply the number '8' on them, not to be confused with 8mm or Super8 film.
As with most older formats, working cameras can be hard to find so it is best to transfer your Video8 & Hi8 video tapes to DVD.

MiniDV, HDV and DVCAM Tapes to DVD
MiniDV tapes became the standard for digital video cameras around the turn of the century, and have remained so until just recently having been replaced by a variety of high definition formats.
Since this is a digital format, excellent results can be achieved with MiniDV to DVD transfers. Often your old 8mm or Super8 film may have been transferred to MiniDV for archiving purposes as well, but it can be cumbersome to have to plug in your camera to your television in order to watch them.
